·         English or English as a Foreign Language,

·         Social Studies (SocialStudies,Civics,History, Geography,Economics)

·         Mathematics

·         Science

·         Special Education teachers in the disciplines listed above

PROGRAMOVERVIEW

TheTeaching Excellence and Achievement Program(TEA) will provide internationa lteachers with uniqueopportunities to develop expertise in the irsubjectareas, enhance their teachingskills, andi ncrease the irknowledge of the UnitedStates

SelectionCriteria(notinorderofimportance):

·         Demonstrated commitment to teaching in the field of secondary education;

·         Demonstrate dleadershi ppotential;

·         Professional and educational experienceand achievements;

·         Potentialfordevelopinglong-termlinkagesbetweenU.S.andIndianeducationalinstitutionsandschools;

·         Preparedness (includingmaturity, flexibility, andability to function independently) for an intensive U.S.-based training program with veryl imited free time for personal travelor sight seeing;

·         English languages kills ade quateto manage course work, develop lessonplans,andteam-teachin U.S.schools(aminimumpaper-based  orequivalent TOEFL score of 450 is required for TEA participation).

Applicants who have had few ornoopportunities to travel to the U.S.will begiven priority
