    If in this manner web counselling is conducted I think entire counselling is will be a disaster. Because If seniors first option is filled already & all other of his options are first options to his juniors then what happens? all juniors will get transfer and senior will not be transferred.

    In my opinion the computer should verify all options of a candidate then only it will go to next candidate.
    In option wise if our first option is filled and 2nd option is 1st option to our junior 3rd option is 2nd option to junior etc.. what happens we will not be transferred.

    Are u sure. About the above demo.
    Please give reply if there is any deviation to above demo.
    Who will give clarity about the exact process followed by comuter in allowing the places. ?

    If it is the process then place allotment is fully based on luck rather than seniority.luckily juniors will get the best place where as most seniority candidate my get worest place than junior.
    Our fate will deside the others priority options.
    So is this the fair process? Not at all.

    that is not a good judgement at all..................I think , first it checks first option and then it follows second,third ,......so on..... options of the same person . When ever Vacancy is their to the concern assignment of option Then automatically system allotted that option and proceed to the next member in the seniority list and Proceed with same procedure ......

      Suppose a situtation like...you check the first person's first option and second option etc... and finally encounter his 72nd option in the list of vacancies.
      So, to allot one vacancy you are taking up every one of his options and going through the list of vacancies to see if it matches.
      And suppose none of your options is available in the list of vacancies available in this cycle, do you think your search is worth?. (By cycle i mean what you suggested)
      It is a sheer waste of time, then. More over, you are WASTING SYSTEM'S RESOURCES as they call it in the programming language. This time waste happens not once but every time for every person.
      Which would be faster? to begin search with vacancy or to begin it with a person's options?
      another important thing is there would be two cycles if the suggestion is followed.
      First cycle: seniority list number 1 to the last number
      Second cycle: as a sub cycle to the first cycle, every option is seen against the vacancies available in the cycle. Shall we call this new cycle... "vacancy cycles"? (because vacancy no1 to the last is searched to see whether it matches with the option?)
