Guidelines on suitable colour combination for painting of Panchayat/Government buildings and other properties belonging to the Government as well as local bodies and authorities GO.322 DT:23.04.20
After careful examination of the matter, Government accept the report of the Committee and as per recommendations made therein, Government hereby issues the following guidelines which shall be applicable for painting of all the Panchayat/ Government buildings and other properties belonging to Government as well as the corporations, local bodies and authorities of the Government of Andhra Pradesh:-
i) All the relevant Codes prescribed under National Building Code (NBC) 2016, regarding painting of the Buildings shall be strictly followed.
ii) All the guidelines contained in the National Building Code, Part 10, Section 2 regarding ”signs”, which inter alia, include clauses 2.1, 3.2.2.2 and 3.3.2, shall be followed.
iii) The Government advertising regulations issued in “The Government Advertisement (Content Regulations) Guidelines, 2014” read with Order of the Supreme Court of India in W.P.No.13 of 2003 dated 13.05.2015; order of the Supreme Court in Review Petition Nos.1879-1881/2015 dt. 18-3-2016 and Circular of Government of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting dated 20.05.2015 shall be followed.
iv) It shall be specifically ensured that the colour combination for painting the buildings and other properties should not be similar to the colours of the flags and office of political parties.
v) No political party symbols shall be displayed at Govt. Buildings/premises.
vi) Wherever, the National Flag or the National Emblem is used, it shall be ensured that it should comply with the National Flag Code of India, 2002 and also the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005.
vii) All other statutory requirements and local bye-laws shall be followed.
