All the Regional Joint Directors (RJDSES), District Educational Officers (DEOS), Assistant Project Coordinators (APCs) are informed that the second round of SLAS in SALT programme is scheduled to conduct in this academic year. vide reference 1 and 2 cited above, it is proposed that the second cycle of SLAS will be conducted on 16th of April, 2024 for class 4th with the following objectives.

a. SLAS will assist in understanding students' grade-level proficiency and to a smaller extent, assist in understanding students' proficiency in lower grades, he foundational concepts. b. The SLAS report will help understand gaps in student learning. The results will be disaggregated at a state-level and district-level. Further, this data will give detailed insights for each district and compare districts on the learning levels. c. The data will be able to help assess trends over time on key curricular areas and core competencies and help the state take necessary and relevant measures of the competencies and help the state take necessary and relevant measures of the interventions. d. It will help in analyse and compare trends in learning outcomes across gender, rural urban demographics, government, private and government-aided schools, and socioeconomic groups. framework of SLAS-2024 is as follows.

The assessment Students from Class 4 will be tested.SLAS will be conducted in 3 subjects and sample student will write two subjects in three combinations (Combo 1 Telugu, English, Combo 2 Maths, English, Combo3: Maths, Telugu) SLAS tools will be provided by El. SLAS is an objective, multiple choice question tool OMR will be used for evaluation of students

Sampling was conducted by El through a Stratified Proportionate Sampling procedure to ensure representative sample across each district. SLAS will be conducted in bilir in bilingual (Telugu and English) paper in sampled schools of both private and government managements.

Overall in the state, in Class 4, around 98,000 students will be tested in Language (Telugu/English/Maths), Service of the Fls (CRPs) will be utilized for invigilation of SLAS in all schools.

Notes: Selected sample school should be run with Selected sample classes from 9.00 am to 4.00 p.m. Other classes may follow half a day timings in the sample schools. No assembly for the classes in which SLAS is being administered as per the above schedule.

School questionnaire and teacher questionnaires should be filled by the concerned school headmaster and respective class teacher on the same day.

School questionnaire and teacher questionnaires should be given by Fl at 10.00 am to the Head Master and class teacher and collected before leaving the school. For class 4, Pupil questionnaires will also be conducted by concerned Fl.

In order to ensure smooth conduct of SLAS, training/workshop will be conducted. The SLAS is designed to test the system and suggest learning improvement measures it is NOT to test an individual child or school. Results/Analysis from SLAS will NOT be utilized for any performance points or otherwise hence all DEOS, AMOs, Officials of SSA. MEOS, CRPS. Head Masters and teachers are requested to ensure fair conduction of SLAS so as to bring maximum benefit to the state, Any malpractice will be viewed seriously and action taken against concerned persons.

Specific guidelines are here with enclosed for conduct of examination. Final selected list of sample schools communicated to all DEOS.

In this regard all RJDSES, District Educational Officers, District Project Officers in the state are requested to this as PRIORITY and communicate SLAS schedule to all schools and managements in their respective districts and also follow guidelines as mentioned in annexure. available funds.
