Koushal Quize -2018 Complete Information

                    Koushal is a unique platform for school children to explore, learn and compete in the field of science. This is a flagship quiz programme organized by Bharatiya Vignana Mandali (AP Chapter of VIBHA) to ignite the young minds of Andhra Pradesh. This platform enables the children to discover the Indian contribution to the world in the field of science and technology. Koushal mainly emphasizes the fact that minds when ignited at young age are proved to do astonishing
 achievements in their interested area

Objecitives of Koushal Quize:

1. To nurture the scientific temper in the young minds of Andhra Pradesh
2. To make the wonders of science reach the unreachable
3. To instill sportive and competitive spirit among children
4. To champion the cause of Swadeshi Science Movement
5. To enlighten them about the Indian Contribution in the field of Science and Technology

Uniqueness of KOUSHAL quiz:

        Unlike other science related quizzes, KOUSHAL focuses on those students who lack the awareness of science and other quiz programs.KOUSHAL inspires the masses by laying importance on Indian contribution to science and technology in ancient, medieval and modern times, which also helps in creating a feeling of patriotism and respect towards the mother India. The KOUSHAL quiz is conducted in both Telugu and English henceforth prompting the usage of mother tongue.

Rules and Regulations:

Team would ideally consist of Students from 8, 9, 10th Classes (Total three students).

Team with More than 1 student from 10th Class is not eligible for participation. However two students from 8th and 9th are admissible

District Level KOUSHAL Quiz Competition:

1. One team shall be selected by the school coordinator for the district level quiz. The school coordinator shall accompany with the students to the venue.
2. Venue of district level quiz is intimated via mail/phone.
3. Screening test(Written) of objective type will be conducted for a duration of 30 minutes.
4. Preliminary Quiz: Teams will be selected for Preliminary Round of Quiz based on performance in screening test. The rules will be announced at the venue. It will be conducted using projector / offline.
5. Final Quiz: Based on the performance in preliminary round,teams will be selected for participation in Final Quiz.
6. Top three teams will be appreciated with cash prizes & Top two teams will be selected for State level competitions.
7.  Team candidates should carry a photocopy of your Aadhaar card/ Ration card/ Student ID card. The decision of the quiz-master/ jury will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

State Level KOUSHAL Quiz Competition:

1. District level winners (top two teams) shall compete in the State level competition.
2. Venue of state level quiz is intimated via mail/phone.
3. Preliminary Round of Quiz will be conducted for all teams.
4. Preliminary round at state level will be conducted in order to shortlist Top Five teams for Final Quiz competition.
5. Team candidates should carry a photocopy of your Aadhaar card/ Ration card/ Student ID card.

All the finalists will be given Cash Awards. The rules will be announced at the venue. It will be conducted using projector / offline.
