Kind attention is invited to the reference 1st cited above, it is inform that, the subject matter in the reference 1st cited to extend the probation period of women employees who have availed the maternity leave benefit during their probation is comes under GAD and there are clear instructions in this regard vide G.M.No. 16888/64-2, GAD dt. 4-7-1964 stating that "any leave other than optional holidays and casual leave availed during probation do not count for probation. Public holidays and optional holidays prefixed or suffixed to such leave also do not count as duty for probation.

2. In view of the above, earlier the Finance Department had transferred the request of the CMO to GAD vide reference 2nd cited for further course of action
