Literacy Program to ASHA workers of Health & Family Welfare Department- Conduct of Level: A,B & C Modules- Action Plan RC.No:11 Dt:18.11.21

All the District Educational Ofcers in the state are informed that a joint program of A.P.Open School Society and Health & Family Welfare Department of A.P., is envisaged to impart ‘Open Basic Education’ to 7,993‘ACCREDITED SOCIAL HEALTH ACTIVISTS (ASHA)’ workers, appropriate to their literacy level, working at grass root level villages across the state.

IDENTIFICATION OF LEARNING CENTRES AND TEACHERS:

1. The district wise, Primary Health Centre (PHC)wise Village wise list of ASHA workers enrolled into Level-A, Level-B and Level-C program of Open Basic Education (OBE) of APOSS is forwarded to the District Educational Ofcers concerned.

2. The District Educational Ofcer is to identify a Primary School/Upper Primary School/High School in the village where the ASHA worker is working, duly giving preference to the existing Accredited Institutions of APOSS, so as to enable the ASHA worker to attend to the Personal Contact Program(PCP) classes as per the schedule.

3. The District Educational Ofcer is to identify a teacher/s working in the identified school to engage the PCP classes. 

4. The details of the identified school and identified teacher/s are to be furnished to the head ofce in the prescribed proforma on or before 23.11.2021, so, as to enable this ofce to submit to the Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare, A.P., Mangalagiri. 

5. Honorary remuneration is to be paid to the teacher @ Rs.50/- per hour/per subject. 

6. Learners contact programme commence from 02.12.2021 to 04.02.2022 at the rate one hour per day, during the working days, after the regular school hours.
