Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations Declaring August 13th 2022 as working day Rc.II

Instructions for Campaign to encourage hoisting Tricolour Flag at House under "Har Ghar Tiranga" Programme celebrated during the period from 11th to 15th, August, 2022 as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations Declaring August 13th 2022 as working day - Orders - Issued Regarding.

In the reference cited, all the Regional Joint Directors / District Vocational Education Officers / Regional Inspection Officers / Principals of Junior Colleges in the State are informed that, India is celebrating 75th Anniversary of Independence on 15th August, 2022 and this occasion is being celebrated as Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav (AKAM) and instructed to take up the programme as specified.

Further, they are informed that, as noticed in the Schedule of the AKAM programme along with Academic calendar of the BIE, A.P., for the academic year 2022-23, it is noticed that August 13th and 14th are Second Saturday and Sunday respectively and are holidays. As such, this will adversely affect the preparedness for celebration of 75th Independence Day in beffitting manner and other programs planned under "Har Ghar Tiranga" and "Prabhat Pheris".

In view of the above circumstances and also to encourage active participation of significant number of students in the above programmes, it is decided to declare August 13th 2022 as a working day to all the Junior Colleges under all the managements in the State and also 3rd Saturday will be declared as Holiday.

Further, they are permitted to utilize the Special Fee Funds as per their activities and their requirement and eligibility for the said purpose only as per rules after obtaining permission from District Collector concerned.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Director of Intermediate Education and all the District Vocational Education Officers in the State are instructed to take appropriate action under their jurisdiction to declare August 13th 2022 as working day even through it is Second Saturday as per academic calendar 2022-23 for organising various activities panned under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav (AKAM) and also make necessary arragements in Junior College premises for celebrating the Independence Day on 15th August, 2022 in a befitting manner.

The above instructions shall be followed scrupulously.
