The attention of all the R.J.D.S Es., DE.Os & APCs in the state are invited to the reference cited, and they are informed that the National De Worming Day is aimed to Deworm all preschool and school age children between the ages of 1-19 years through the platform of Anganwadi's Government & Private schools and junior colleges to improve their overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life in this regard the Government of India has directed to conduct Bi Annual Deworming and it is decided to conduct 2nd round National De Worming Day on 10th August 2023 to cover the children from 1 to 19 years. The coordination and convergence of the Commissioners/Directors and Departments of Women Child Welfare. School Education. Intermediate, Panchayth Raj, Tribal Welfare, Social Welfare, BC Welfare, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, juvenile Welfare & Correctional Services and welfare of street Children. Technical Education and College Education with Health and family Welfare Department is very much essential for proper implementation of the programme. in view of the above the following instructions are hereby issued to all the RJ.D.SEs.. DEOS & APCs in the state to implement the programme on 10 08.2023 and make it a grand success.

1. All the District Educational Officers in the State are here by appointed as Nodal Officers in their Districts and to coordinate with the DMSHO and to see that the Medicine reach every School point well in advance

2. The District Educational Officers should instruct all the M.E Ds/H.Ms of all Schools in their jurisdiction to see that every student is covered under this Programme.

3. All H.Ms to give vide publicity and explain the importance of the De worming and mop-up day to the children through

• School Assembly.

• School Management Committee Meeting. Parents-Teachers Meeting

To write on the Block board in each class room from 03.08.2023 on wards and every teacher to discuss one minute before commencement of class about the importance of the National Deworming Day every day up to 9 8 2023 And other sources, if any.

4. Students should consume the medicine after lunch and at their class room only, and preferably take 100 to 200 ml. Drinking Water. (tablet to Procure the medicine on or before 07.08.2023 6. The M.EOs are Nodel officer of their respective Mandal and overall responsible for all Managements of schools in their Mandal including Private schools and should coordinate with the PHC to be chewed and swallowed with water 

5. Every H.M should be in touch with the local ANMS/ Medical Officers medical officer to ensure timely supply the medicine. Tablets will be issued free of Cost by the Health Department The MEOs should ensure that all schools HMs (Govt, Aided and Private) collect the drug as per enrollment form the MPDO office on 07.08.2023.

7. They should also monitor regularly and ensure effective implementation of the Programme and All students should cover the progamme 8. The D.E.Os and the RJ D.S.Es to review the preparatory arrangements and monitor the programme in consultation of the DMHO and Helth Department

9. Müd side effects may arise in children with high worm load. The side effects are usually not serious and would pass by soon. If there are any cases reported, bring it to the notice of the Health Department immediately

10.The Minutes of the Meeting communicated by the Commissioner of Health and Welfare Department is enclosed along with this proceedings for ready reference in case of any issues, they may contact state Nodal Officer.
