School Education - Cyclone Flood alert to Chittoor district from 08.12.2022 to 12.12.2022 -Precautionary measures to be taken in schools certain Instructions - Issued.

All the Deputy Educational Officers and Mandal Educational Officers in the district are hereby informed that IMD have issued cyclone alert to Chittoor district and heavy rains are expected in the next four days.

In this connection, they are requested to take the following precautionary measures in schools to ensure safety of the students.

1. Keep all students away from fast-moving or swift water, including creeks,streams, rivers, or flood channels. 2. Cancel any field trips, after-school events, or extracurricular activities.

3. Move or secure any outdoor equipment or items that could float away.

4. Relocate the students in case of leakage of roofs or flooding in such areas.

5. Evacuate the old school buildings and take necessary precautions

6. Restore the physical conditions of the buildings and grounds and remediate any damage caused by the flooding.

7. The MDM should be served hot as per menu without any deviation and all necessary ingredients should be kept in stock. The MDM workers should be readily available during the floods and no excuses will be encouraged 

8. The schools involving in Nadu Nedu works are requested to plan the works after floods and take necessary precautionary measures. The electrical
 should be kept away during the rains to avoid electric shocks.

Further, they are requested to issue necessary instructions to the Headmasters of all schools under all managements to follow the above instructions and take necessary measures ensuring the safety of students. In case of any emergency, intimate this office without fail.
