All the regional joint directors and district educational officers in the state are aware that the summative assessment 2 and classroom-based assessment 3 will be completed by April 26, 2023, for classes 1 to 5, and by April 29, 2023, for classes 6 to 9, across the state, vide reference 2 cited above.

In this regard, it has been decided to conduct a Mega Parents Meeting on April 29, 2023, in all schools to distribute student progress cards to parents. Here are some instructions for the teachers to follow when leading the parent meeting.

1. Ensure that the event is organized in a professional and organized manner. This includes having a designated area for parents to collect their child's progress cards and a separate area for meeting with teachers.

2. Make sure that you have reviewed and analysed your students' academic performance before the meeting. This will enable you to provide accurate and useful feedback to parents during the meeting.

3. Make sure that you are well-prepared to answer any questions that parents may have regarding their child's academic progress. This includes being able to provide details on their child's strengths and weaknesses, areas where improvement is needed, and strategiesthat can be employed to improve their academic performance.

4. Follow the safety protocols that have been put in place for the event. This includes wearing a face mask at all times, maintaining social distancing, and ensuring that hand sanitizers are readily available for parents.

5. Ensure that the meeting is conducted in a respectful and courteous manner. We understand that some parents may be anxious or concerned about their child's academic progress, and it is important that we provide them with a supportive and reassuring environment. 6. Ensure that the meeting is done to facilitate the parents to help ther wards and give effective suggestions to the parents to involve their children in useful summer vacation activities.

7. The intention of the meeting is not be for fault finding or blaming the  children or parents for poor performance for the children.

Also all the inspecting officers are requested to monitor the preparation of promotion lists, entry of marks in respective registers and portals.
